Flirting with the simulation hypothesis?

I trying to make a new friend and I DM him last night asking if he was familiar with the simulation hypothesis.

He answered he is. But it was just my ADHD brain thinking randomly late at night lol

How do I continue the conversation so it seems I had a reason for asking and not just being awkward?

What is "simulation hypothesis"? Perhaps add an update to the question using the update box so we can all understand what that is. Without knowing that, I doubt very much that anyone is going to be able to give good advice.

As far as answering the question, I will do my best with no knowledge of what simulation hypothesis is. Before I do, your choice of topic is just fine. If you would like it moved elsewhere, I can do that for you but I think it fits perfectly in "Flirting" since that is what you are asking about.

If you asked him if he is familiar with the simulation hypothesis style of flirting and he said he was, I can only take this to mean that you were doing it and then asking if he knew that you were.

Sounds like to me that he was aware that you were flirting with him. This is only a very crude guess based on limited details and no understanding of this hypothesis. Again, best to update the question so we all know what it means.
