Girls, what goes through your mind when you ignore a guy on purpose?

Lets say its a guy you used to talk to everyday and joke and tease but because of an argument you just stopped talking and won't even acknowledge each other if in the same room just you and him? Do you tune him out or you want him to say something?

So this just happened. She was by herself on a bench. I went up to her and asker her "are you mad at me?" She looked at me and had a big smile and then looked back down and said "im not gonna do this with you, just drop it" what exactly does the smile mean in this situation?

Commonly.. They're ignoring you because

1. They want you to pay attention

2. They are pissed off and just want to drop the subject

3. Just trying to cool down

4. See if you notice

5. Dosen't want to make things worse

6. Ignoring you because she feels like it.

Pity, we used to have a lot of fun together but every day that passes ignoring each other, the easier it becomes not talking to her, not that I don't want to though.

My ex and I broke up because of this "ignoring", it wasen't really that I was ignoring him.. it was HE that pretended I didn't exist. I didn't want that either.. But because of that lack of conversation and attention, you're better off without them. Pfft, why waste your time going through something like that when there's so many others out there waiting for a chance? It's hard.. really hard. But if it's going downhill like that.. don't let it get worse. Move on. :)

Usually I'll want him to say something, unless I'm really pissed and don't want anything to do with him, but I'd probably only want nothing to do with him if he wasn't a very good friend to begin with. Otherwise I prefer to work it out.

i think she may be trying to hide it yes lol maybe she does wanna talk but has too much pride to do so. so when she smiled she realized she had let hyer guard down so she put it back up with a serious face lol

Probably. Smiles are usually a good thing -- she's probably consciously trying to be mad at you, but in reality would like to talk to you. So, yeah, I'd say she's happy you're talking to her. :P

@ your update: Now she just sounds like she's being difficult, lol. You seem like you're putting in the effort to apologize (for whatever it is) and talk to her, and she just keeps shooting you down. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she was just making you chase her around. Maybe it's just me, but if I was upset with a guy, and he came to me first, I wouldn't continue to ignore him and pretend to be mad. It just becomes childish after a while.

if a girl ignores you or gives you the silent treatment but stops within a matter of minutes then she is just flirting and you most likley flustered her. If it lasts for more then a little bit I would say she is definitlly pissed about something you did.

Believe me dude, its been like 10 days. I already apologized but she still won't even look at me. I can't go begging her.

It is my fault but damn, I'm not even dating her but I get all the difficulties of a relationship. When we get along we get along great but when we dont, well, I get this.
