Too many false accusations these days. That is the main reason why many men don't ask out anyone they work with. Any conflict at any time and she can make a false accusation (it is VERY common) and ruin his job. So in places of work it is up to the woman to initiate any kind of relationship more than a regular working relationship.

The only other reason I can think of is that online people are more likely to tell you what they really think so you may get to know someone better/quicker online for compatibility than you would in person where they are less likely to say their true thoughts.

Because women are on a dating APP voluntarily to be hit on.

Doing it IRL comes with a bunch of caveats. The person getting hit on may get upset about it or ridicule the person doing it plus nowadays you may get filmed all the time.

Also a bunch of dating profiles are just bots and some guys are just mass sending the same message.

One can hit on 1000+ profiles online in a day.

Try doing the same IRL.

Women take videos of men and put them on tiktok if they don't like the guy that approached. A lot of women are also incredibly cruel to men they aren't attracted to. Additionally, most women's standards are now so unrealistically high due to the options they think they have online, so what did you expect? Women don't even walk around smiling anymore. Most guys are sick of American women, but bored when at home.
