Do you ever feel that your other family members outshine you?

lol I most definitley do! all of my cousins are genius. I got 3 cousins that are in West Point, 2 that are in med school, 3 that have academic scholarships, one of which also has an athletic scholarship, one that has a 4.0 GPA in college another that's second smartest in her grade, then three sisters (my cousins theyre sisters) are all beautiful smart and of course most envious TALL lol theyre all 6'+ they gotta stoop to give me a hug! gah its embarrassing. lol so how yall feel?

Not really, my family isn't very competitive. I'm one of the first to go to university, so in that aspect I guess I win LOL. Physically, most of my family is very good looking. My sisters are both beautiful, probably more so than me - but I don't get jealous. I adore them, so it's not something I think about. I'm the tallest of them, so that's fun :P But yeah, although a lot of my family members probably DO outshine me, I don't see it that way. I'm just not envious of their 'shining', cos I'm proud of my own.

lol I'm not envious if it came off that way lol =P this was more meant as a joke but yeah my cousins are ridiculously smart but 5 of them are Asian so I guess that's expected o.O lol I'm happy with myself though so its cool =P

LOL yeah well I'm the first girl on my dads side to go to college, and the second person on my moms side - so I do alright. ACTUALLY - most of my family have AMAZING voices. I am pretty outshined right there

I outshine my family members. There are 2 or 3 well-accomplished people in my age in the family and I'm one of them.

But, honestly, I don't compare myself to others because as much as you outshine some people, there are still others who are better than you.

"Better" is relative too anyway.

As long as you're happy, nothing really matters.

My sister sometimes does, she is someone who makes everyone feel good. People just don't understand how she is always happy. Although, I am a tad of the star in the family. Mainly because I've overcome & done a lot in most people's eyes. I think it's silly, but whatever. The respect is nice. :P

Hmmm well achievement is all relative. I mean some people want to be celibate and be a monk or something... while others become doctors.. it doesn't mean any of us are better than anybody else. I do get jealous though because there are a lot of Ivy League types on my mom's side of the family. My dad's side of the family are more laid back and chilled. Pretty much everybody in my family and extended family are tall.. me being one of the biggest at 6'5".

My brother outshines me in social status. Meaning he's living the social life I always wanted to live. Good friends, girlfriend, great school, great and diverse students that attends there. Not to mention his side of the family is affluent and mines is poor.

Me? Only 2.5 friends that I don't hang out with. Other than him, I feel vasty superior to my other family members.

Definitely, my younger brother is super popular and has a ton of friends, he's always been naturally talented at sports, has a hot girlfriend, people seem to gravitate towards him, while it seems like other avoid me.
