Did my girlfriend overreact to a compliment given to me at hooters by a waitress?

My girlfriend felt like eating wings and wanted to go to hooters. We sat down as a couple and a girl told me “you have really nice eyes.” I have dark green eyes and when the sun hits them a certain way, they look even greener and nicer.
My girlfriend told her “he’s my boyfriend.” And then the waitress apologized and said she wasn’t flirting and had a boyfriend herself and didn’t mean anything by it.
She then told her coworkers and there was two additional girls being flirty with me on purpose to get my girlfriend mad.
My girlfriend started to be really difficult on purpose and started asking for more drinks and said her fries were cold and was being really picky on purpose to give the waitress a hard time.

This is why I wouldn't go to Hooters with my boyfriend. That's like me taking him to Chippendales if it were a restaurant/bar.

To answer your question though she did overreact but I'm jealous myself so I wouldn't even have put myself in that position by going to another wing place. It's so easy to get insecure and jealous when you have girls with big boobs flirting with your boyfriend for tips. She should have known that that was going to happen. It's freaking Hooters.

Yes but justified though the hooters girl was probably looking tips. Men give the best tips, when I worked with my sister for a while as a waitress the guys always gave her big tips because she was very flirty and of course had giant juggs.

I used to work at hooters and I never complimented anybody but I always notice when people have beautiful eyes and I always comment on it whether it’s a man or woman. It’s not flirting it’s acknowledging the situation. Your girlfriend was being kind of a jerk
