No. I'm always uncomfortable meeting new people, but it goes doubly so for flirting with women. Talking to a girl I'm attracted to and have never met before is one of the most socially uncomfortable experiences I've ever had, but I just force myself to do it anyways and pretend that I'm enjoying myself.

I only become relaxed in a social interaction once I've gotten to know the person after a while.

I am shy too. I’m pretty comfortable talking to my boyfriend and I like him, but generally in the past I have had a lot of trouble talking to guys I liked. It made me anxious and I was convinced I’d say the wrong thing. For a while there I wished I could talk to men I had crush on like I did with the men I didn’t like since I had more success with the ones I didn’t like liking me 😅
