Is it weird to add a crush on Linkedn?

So my question is how weird would it be for someone to add a guy/girl they like on Linkedn? Have you ever done it??

i don't think that's weird if you work with them or already know them and speak to them. because at least you have a reason to be adding them, because you work with them or know them lol. i even have my husband and close friends on linkedin, college friends, like it's not as weird as you think it is

it's like the lowest form of "social media" that you can get away with adding

Very weird. Linkedin is not a dating app. I don't have my husband on Linkedin we work in completely different areas wouldn't make any sense to follow each other.

I do not add people I do not know because when you add people, you are making a traceable statement about your connection to that person, but I view their profile and post ways to contact me on my profile so that they can talk to me off site if they are interested. An example, is I used to link my YouTube account to my Pinterest account so people who want my contact info can send me a message through Pinterest since private messaging is banned on that website. I think YouTube removed the ability to link to other websites in your personal bio recently.

If the two of you are in the same line of work, then it's okay, as long as you talk to each other about work in person first, so that they know you're not just a gold digger. It also is safer than Facebook or more informal social media as a start to talking to them more, as there's not much that's too private that someone you don't know well yet would be uncomfortable with you seeing.

I don’t get the tendency of treating them as a romantic partner. It just a crush, liking someone a lot as seeing yourself dating them hypothetically. However not everyone who like each other en up in a up relationship.

I would say LinkedIn is more of professional use only. It's not a social group is a professional group to get other people's professional ideas and will help you with employment searches.
