When a man calls another man, the guy receiving the phone call answers with a hello or something and then the caller will go something like “hey bro!” Or “what’s up man?” Or “broooo what’s up?” Etc. (If the man answering can see who is calling he also may just answer with a “bro!” Or something too).
As a man calling a woman, you can’t really do the same. One also has to be very careful. Like it is not a good idea after she answers to start with “hey baby” or “hello darling” etc. A plain “hello how are you?” Seems uncreative and boring.
Ladies, help a guy out who is drowning here.

well here's one the boys in the band were literally just talking about after the show last night, with Ryan O'Neal passing away this week
when Farrah Fawcett was married to Lee Majors back in the 1970s, Lee's songwriter friend from Nashville called and Farrah answered the phone
After some friendly chitchat, the friend asked if Lee was available to talk. Farrah said no, he's on the midnight train to Houston. and a song was born
re-titled Midnight Train to Georgia, the song was recorded by Gladys Knight later that year. It went straight to #1, became her first hit song, and won a Grammy Award. it went on to be one of the Songs of the Century
so that's how one man responded when a woman answered the phone 🤷♀️
i sound like Casey Kasem here
