What does it mean when a guy invites you to his place?

I'm travelling to see a guy I'm interested in. He recently moved out and he told me that he wants to show me his new place. Am I dense to think that we're just hanging out as friends? Are there any signs that I should pick up?

I forgot to mention that I wanted to travel and he asked me if he could join. So it turned into one on one hanging out. I've already been to his old place but we were a group of friends. He also got roommates.
