Would they randomly start sneakily flirting with a cute employee after almost a year of work b/c they’re just being friendly or want to be friends? (Aka just for fun, jokingly, innocently) especially when it’s not allowed?
1 yIt is as clear as a toddler's snotty nose that this manager is up to no good. Their intentions are as pure as a sewer rat's smile and their actions are as subtle as an elephant in a tutu.
This so-called "flirting" is nothing but a slimy slide towards disaster. It is as innocent as a pirate with a peg leg and a parrot on their shoulder. Do not be fooled by their sneaky, friendly banter! It is as harmless as a honey-covered bear cub playing with a bee hive.
This manager is playing with fire, and their motives are as transparent as a politician's promise. They are breaking the rules, and their behavior is as acceptable as a fart in a fancy restaurant.
So, to this manager, I say without @autocorectt's help, "Shame on you! Your actions are as mature as a toddler throwing a tantrum in the candy aisle. Go back to your managerial cave and reflect on your sneaky ways. Your employee deserves better than your silly, rule-breaking shenanigans."
And to you, my dear, I say, beware of this managerial snake! Their flirty ways are not to be trusted. Stay vigilant and keep your distance, for their intentions are as murky as a swamp monster's bathwater.

Asker1 yThis was truly poetic, thank you for the smile.
May I ask, however.. he’s up to no good, has not so pure intentions in your opinion, what do you think he wants?- 1 y
That slimy weasel is about as subtle as a dragon breathing fire in a thatched-roof cottage. You really can't tell? Here's what you do then:
You need to play this game like a knight slaying a dragon—with courage and a sharp sword! Here's what you do:..
Flirt back, my dear, flirt back! Bat those eyelashes like a butterfly with a broken wing, and lure that manager closer than a knight to his treasure. Make him believe that your heart is as warm and welcoming as a freshly baked pie, left to cool on a windowsill. Entice him with the promise of a future together, as clear and inviting as a mountain lake on a crisp morning.
Then, when he is as close as two peas in a pod (and you've gathered evidence that he's crossed the line), you strike! Reject him with a force that would make a medieval knight proud. Make your words sharp and stinging, like the tail of a scorpion. Let him know that his behavior is about as acceptable as a fart in church, and that his managerial skills are as effective as a screen door on a submarine.
Be brave, show that manager that you are not some damsel in distress, waiting for a knight to save her. You are the dragon, and you breathe fire!

1 yIt depends on the situation. I think we can all agree on that, so I'm just going to go into story time because why not lol
When I was at my previous job (I was the manager there too), everyone there knew 5 things about me
1. I was 19
2. I was a Christian
3. I was exceptionally principled and was never going to date or sleep with a coworker much less an employee
4. I was much too busy with work to spend time dating/sleeping with ANYONE (I was clocking 60 hours a week and was working off the clock another 15-25 hours a week depending on the month).
5. I always respected women by never making sexual comments about them, looking at them in an unprofessional manner, or getting in their personal space, and I regularly spoke with my male employees about respecting their female coworkers.
So, partially despite that and partially because of that, many of my female coworkers who were my age or slightly older than me enjoyed flirting with me and were very comfortable doing so. I didn't mind that because it brought humor and family-friendly entertainment (we kept flirting PG) to the workplace and made long shifts much much easier and more enjoyable. Everyone flirted publicly as well, so it didn't make anyone uncomfortable.03 Reply

Thanks for the MHO :)
1 yIf they do it in front of everyone.. maybe it's just for laughs. Probably it's just their sense of humor.
But if the manager does it in private and secretly.. he wants more. Had pervert bosses before who even tried offering something, that's why I haven't kept a steady job yet. (I always quit! 💀 lol)

1 yYour manager probably likes you. Thats why they’re flirting with you. But be careful. They might just want sex. Also, your work probably has rules against managers flirting with employees so they’ll probably get in trouble if they get caught.

It’s only flirting if he says things that are directed toward her , like compliments about her appearance or her smell , and he looks at her like he wants to rip her clothes off , but if he is just being nice and being polite , that’s not the same as flirting.

Asker1 yHe’s always been nice and polite of course, but it takes.5 seconds to figure out if it’s your usual everyday talk/behavior or if it’s not. His usual friendly and polite is causal convos and smiles in passing, not walking up behind me while I’m working to lean in and give me playful eyes and a smirk when no one’s paying attention 🙄
Asker1 yHow is him eyeing me down like that “polite”? 🤣 not saying he really really likes me but cmon.. that’s more than being polite. Especially when there’s other bits and pieces beforehand that connect the dots as to why he would be giving me those looks

Well if he is looking you up and down , then yes , he more than likely finds you attractive and it probably crossed his mind to have you naked in his arms. But since he is your boss he probably won’t make any sudden moves with you because it could effect his job and he could be fired if things got out of hand between the both of you , I am a boss as well, and I have been hit on by some of my female workers’ I was tempted a few times to go have sex with them but I decided not to because of my job. But trust me I still jokingly flirted with them and enjoyed looking at them because they were very attractive to my eyes. Some of my other jobs I had , I ended up hooking up with some of my female co workers mainly because I didn't really care about the job and it was just sex and nothing more. So your boss more than likely wouldn’t mind having you naked on his arms , he is just probably concerned about his job is my guess
So many of these dudes flirt with female employees and then end up getting transferred or fired. And half of them are married too. They're not flirting with you innocently or just for fun, they hope you'll like it and want to start dating them. Keep that at a distance.
00 ReplyMost of the time they'd be looking for more than platonic flirting. Many managers are super promiscuous and some of the biggest cheaters, but not all.

Anonymous(36-45)1 yI had a manager who made sexual advances on me. With that said, I think it can be either or. Sometimes people flirt for fun. Other times they want more. In my case, she wanted me to have sex with her in the office. I think she had some sort of kink. I rejected all of her offers as I was not attracted to her. She began calling me gay so I ended up quitting.

Asker1 yOh yikes. Yeah my manager wasn’t making sexual advances. The most was just sneaky smirks and looks out of nowhere along with some other flirting as well

1 yWhen I was a teenager teenage girls would come and cry to me that our male manager was sexually harassing them in the workplace for hours. I'm sure this still goes on because even on here females ask questions about it.
00 ReplyYes, a manager may flirt for fun. Most guys will. Not all flirting is intended to end in sex.
