Would they randomly start sneakily flirting with a cute employee after almost a year of work b/c they’re just being friendly or want to be friends? (Aka just for fun, jokingly, innocently) especially when it’s not allowed?

It is as clear as a toddler's snotty nose that this manager is up to no good. Their intentions are as pure as a sewer rat's smile and their actions are as subtle as an elephant in a tutu.

This so-called "flirting" is nothing but a slimy slide towards disaster. It is as innocent as a pirate with a peg leg and a parrot on their shoulder. Do not be fooled by their sneaky, friendly banter! It is as harmless as a honey-covered bear cub playing with a bee hive.

This manager is playing with fire, and their motives are as transparent as a politician's promise. They are breaking the rules, and their behavior is as acceptable as a fart in a fancy restaurant.

So, to this manager, I say without @autocorectt's help, "Shame on you! Your actions are as mature as a toddler throwing a tantrum in the candy aisle. Go back to your managerial cave and reflect on your sneaky ways. Your employee deserves better than your silly, rule-breaking shenanigans."

It depends on the situation. I think we can all agree on that, so I'm just going to go into story time because why not lol

When I was at my previous job (I was the manager there too), everyone there knew 5 things about me
1. I was 19
2. I was a Christian
3. I was exceptionally principled and was never going to date or sleep with a coworker much less an employee
4. I was much too busy with work to spend time dating/sleeping with ANYONE (I was clocking 60 hours a week and was working off the clock another 15-25 hours a week depending on the month).
5. I always respected women by never making sexual comments about them, looking at them in an unprofessional manner, or getting in their personal space, and I regularly spoke with my male employees about respecting their female coworkers.
So, partially despite that and partially because of that, many of my female coworkers who were my age or slightly older than me enjoyed flirting with me and were very comfortable doing so. I didn't mind that because it brought humor and family-friendly entertainment (we kept flirting PG) to the workplace and made long shifts much much easier and more enjoyable. Everyone flirted publicly as well, so it didn't make anyone uncomfortable.

It would depend on whether he was flirting with her or not , just because someone is being nice doesn’t mean they are flirting. It’s only flirting if he says things that are directed toward her , like compliments about her appearance or her smell , and he looks at her like he wants to rip her clothes off , but if he is just being nice and being polite , that’s not the same as flirting.

He’s always been nice and polite of course, but it takes.5 seconds to figure out if it’s your usual everyday talk/behavior or if it’s not. His usual friendly and polite is causal convos and smiles in passing, not walking up behind me while I’m working to lean in and give me playful eyes and a smirk when no one’s paying attention 🙄

Than he is just being polite it sounds , because if he wanted you? he would pretty much hint that to you and make passes at you , trying to be private with you as much as possible and be very attentive to just you. That’s pretty much what a guy does when he really likes a girl.

Well if he is looking you up and down , then yes , he more than likely finds you attractive and it probably crossed his mind to have you naked in his arms. But since he is your boss he probably won’t make any sudden moves with you because it could effect his job and he could be fired if things got out of hand between the both of you , I am a boss as well, and I have been hit on by some of my female workers’ I was tempted a few times to go have sex with them but I decided not to because of my job. But trust me I still jokingly flirted with them and enjoyed looking at them because they were very attractive to my eyes. Some of my other jobs I had , I ended up hooking up with some of my female co workers mainly because I didn't really care about the job and it was just sex and nothing more. I had a manager who made sexual advances on me. With that said, I think it can be either or. Sometimes people flirt for fun. Other times they want more. In my case, she wanted me to have sex with her in the office. I think she had some sort of kink. I rejected all of her offers as I was not attracted to her. She began calling me gay so I ended up quitting.
