I for one would rather a woman love interest just talks to me like an ordinary person, yet slightly more than most or slightly extra friendly and bright eyed and smiley than most. Without being so obvious. I mean the whole weirdness with pickup lines and flirting and teasing it's like - either some eventually ask the other out or stop having weird friend zoned like gossipy interactions - I'm just here for a coffee ☕👀 he says she says she said he said 😆😆 LOL,

I see what you're saying man. A lot of times flirting can feel kind of fake and extra, like people putting on a show. And the whole will-they-won't-they game can drag on forever.

But I don't think flirting itself is overrated. When it's done right, it adds some fun and excitement to interacting with someone you like. A little flirty banter shows interest without having to put all your feelings right out there.

Plus not everyone is good at making the first real move. Flirting is a way to gauge if the other person even wants you to without risking rejection. Baby steps, ya know?

That said, I agree keeping it pretty light and natural is best. Forget cheesy pickup lines - just be yourself but turn up the charm a notch. Compliment her casually, make her laugh, seem engaged. Subtle is sexy.

And if it does go further, yeah definitely ditch the gossip and games. Be straightforward about your intentions. Nothing wrong with wanting a real connection, not just attention.

So I don't think flirting's pointless if it's not overdone. Done right, it leads somewhere real. But I feel you on keeping it real too once you find someone worth the risk. Balance is key my man!

You're totally right man, I appreciate the education. When people talking about this type of stuff, that first thing they say usually coming straight from the heart, no filter.

The flirting stuff I said after, that was me kinda playing devil's advocate just for the sake of conversation. But like you said, that first paragraph where you talked about just wanting a girl to vibe with you normal, keep it real - THAT'S the truth right there.

No games, no pickup lines, just two people connecting. Sometimes we overthink it when really all that's needed is being yourself and finding someone on the same wavelength. Flirting can be whateva but it ain't make or break.
