Okay, so I went to that art show today.

It was very poshy.

I wore black heels for the first time in 4 months after injury and poured milk tea on it on my way, because I am clumsy, Went to the bathroom to take it out, but the shoe material was different and this milk shake looked whiteish on my black look doesn’t matter how much I tried to clean and Ruined my look with the nice black little dress.

Of course I felt very bad as I was going to a fashion designer, who would look me up like Meryl Streep from Devil Wears Prada.

So, I flirted with him to shift his attention from my shoe to my personality lol

My friend told me he liked me, because he couldn’t take his eyes off me and also gave me some of his designed clothes to model for him.

Now I went home to change my shoes and am back to work, but I feel very awkward about that shoe lol

But he texted me he can’t wait to see me again.

I guess it’s good?

It’s only bad, if you have no intentions to go any further with someone. Flirting to much , can easily make someone get the wrong impression about you , especially if your intentions, isn’t to get to know them more. You should only really flirt with someone , that you are interested in Otherwise , it can lead to unwanted attention from someone you clearly aren’t interested in , making that other person think, they might actually have a chance at you when really they don’t. You will be considered a tease in most cases, but there is a slight chance that tease could lead to trouble , if you aren’t careful. I watch a lot of true crime shows and most stalking and crazy obsessions and rapes occurs from flirting and teasing someone. So again it’s best to only flirt with someone you are really interested in. If you aren’t interested in them don’t flirt. Even though we think it’s innocent , sometimes it isn’t.

Most guys aren't paying any attention to the shoes you are wearing, because they don't care about that. They probably are way more focused on your facial looks and overal style.

It's generally a good strategy to keep people you meet guessing as to whether they might be the one you want to be with in the long run. Show you enjoy their company and like getting to know them. I've read many times of successful people making the person they're meeting feel like they're the only person in the room.

But it sounds like you sweat the small stuff. Self-effacing humor might have been a better deflection: "Pardon the mismatch. I need to better match my clothes with what I'm eating." When his eyes go down to see what you're talking about, if you then twist your ankle playfully back and forth while raising your skirt an inch, well, who am I to stop you? And then you explain the rest of the meeting that the reason you're constantly dangling your shoe off the end of your toe is to allow it to dry.

It is. If u talking about faking or wasting their time by raising unnecessary confusion in their mind or to use them for ur entertainment or ur work. I mean, I had faced it. I was a bit of a nerd. If a girl comes and talks to me, I would not conclude that she likes me but certain flirty comments do make me feel that way. I then start hoping I found someone who would love me. Many times, they ask help with their assignments or office work. I help them and later to find that she either have a boy friend or she like someone else in the office.
In my office, there was this guy who is close with a girl. I usually don’t talk to them much but they usually come for getting some of their work done. I don’t mind helping them. Nor I think they flirting with me. But some did. Some used to say I look like a celebrity. Some said I looked cute. But after few months, all girls discussed who they had crush on within office. The guy who was close to this one girl found out each girls crush. All guys where talking about this since this guy was giving away all girls crush names. That’s what sad. I should have not been in that discussion. Because every guy my age in the office had some girl who she liked except me.
I mean, did girls say I was cute and looks like a celebrity just to make me help them with work or were they thinking something else. I still don’t know. I would have helped them even if they asked me normally. They shouldn’t have played with my feelings. I am not saying it’s their mistake. It is definitely mine. I read things wrongly. They might have said it as a normal compliment and I imagined them liking me. I mean, for a guy, I would compliment a girl if I like her even without having a crush on her. Like I might see her as just a friend and compliment her. So, it’s my mistake. I felt bad because I imagined something else for their flirting.

Personally, I try not to judge anyone as being “too flirty” because sometimes they’re just that way with you bc they like you or bc something about you appeals to them. I have a guy friend who will chatter on and banter with me for an eternity, but if there’s someone around he’s not a fan of he clams up and his face is suddenly unreadable.

If you’re talking about a guy who just gushes over everything and flirts with everyone… that’s probably just an insecure guy trying to show he’s charismatic.

Lastly, make sure he’s not just flirting because it’s his go-to thing in social settings. Some naturally charismatic folks do that. (Raising my hand as guilty of sometimes doing that also as a reflex when seeing a bunch of people I’ve known a long time.)

I'm not sure if your question refers to the principle of good and bad or the practicality.

But I think it's good on both ends

First, flirting ≠ lying. You can flirt with somone you're not madly in love with and keep your intentions clear

Second, just because you flirted with someone does not mean you owe them a date or a happy ever after. You can flirt and later change your mind. Mature adults will understand that "it was fun in the moment, but real life beckons, and we're not gonna end up together right now"

So to to answer the original question: no, it's not a bad thing to be too flirty

Flirting is good if you're single and he is single and you have the intention of pursuing something if he responds. But if you are doing it just for your own entertainment and have no intentions of dating the person I think that is cold and heartless to tease and play with people's emotions like that.

Now I only flirt with my husband bc I don’t want to give anyone the wrong idea and, more importantly, he doesn’t want me giving anybody the wrong idea! Yes it is too bad. Flirting in of itself is not bad, but too much of anything could have bad consequences; all things in moderation.

I day this because too much flirting could lead to misinterpretation of the situation. Sometimes that can actually make people mad on either side of the situation; people are unpredictable.

Deliberate flirting is manipulative. To some extent all human interaction could be construed as manipulative, but generally speaking people don't like to be manipulated if it makes them look weak or foolish to others or lessens their sense of self-control.

That aside... if you're okay with doing that to people... who is anyone else to stop you?
