Why is complimenting a stranger a lot considered creepy?

lets say you see a stranger smile at you, then you ask for a number, she gives it, and you say "you're so friendly, polite, l like your posture, and form. you're a good dancer. you have a nice smile"

No form of compliment is ever " Creepy " , it vital to know how to accept a compliment and be able to accept a compliment , from both sex's frankly. It could be clothing , it could be style , it could be your body , it doesn't matter , just be polite and thankful , compliments are great to receive , I'm still fortunate to receive many , and I'm thankful.

In the scenario described , the number has been given , intent is clear , its fine , never think of it as anything other that that which it is.

This is not a scenario that is likely to ever happen because I would make sure that it does not happen. However, we all know what compliments are all about.

People seldom compliment others on achievements but almost always on looks and behavior. Why is that?

Simply because in 99% of the cases, compliments are given with very specific intentions in mind. One does not compliment a person because one really believes one word of that compliment but because one secretly hopes for more than that.

What I mean to say is that in most cases, a person secretly hopes to get into the pants of the one receiving the compliment and that is exactly why it is creepy, a red flag and toxic.

well if its a stranger, or someone you don't know well, then you only know what can be seen and you wouldn't know if the person competed in a marathon

How would they know that you are a good dancer if they are a stranger? That would be indeed creepy.

and the compliment would be, you must be a good dancer. because actually, you can tell from a persons posture, and form that they train hard. even when it comes to bodybuilders, you can tell certain men take their training seriously just by looking at them
