My friend never really initiates plans, and when I do make plans they want me to come to their place.

how do you handle a friend who always wants you to come and see them? they don't really make plans but say you are free to come whenever. Then you always have to go and see them because they prefer to stay in the comforts of their home. Do they really want you around or am I just a convenience?

If they never ever initiate things, I would probably rethink the friendship, because that shows you're not really their priority. But if they do ask you to hang out and it's just always at their place, maybe they're just the homebody type? I love to hang out with people but I don't really like to go out.

I guess what I'm saying is, you probably already know the answer to your question, or you are at least already leaning to one side. I just recently cut a friend out of my life because she would never initiate anything, only hit me up first to ask a question or for a favor, and finally completely blew me off. It took that much for me to finally let her go, because I really didn't want to, but I had to choose my dignity over her.
