Why do girls who didn't show romantic interest start showing interest when she sees a guy flirting well with another girl?

I am sure there are girls who do not respond this way, but I am wondering why this happens when it happens. What do you think?

By flirting well, I mean he is creating attraction within a girl

Please comment if you have a different theory.

She likes the confidence

She's impressed with the flirting skills

She wants that attention on her

She is thinking "If this girl likes her, he must be valuable"

This guy is clearly going to big places in life

It's competition. She has to show that she's better

This bullsh*t happens all the time. It’s a feminine mental quirk and it takes (most) women mental effort not to cave into it.

Every time I got in a relationship when I was younger other women literally came out out of the woodworks.

Even when I wasn’t around my girlfriend I noticed I got more attention from other women. Simply because I didn’t care if they were interested in them or not. Didn’t care about their judgment. So I guess that nonchalant attitude turns them on because it made me more of a challenge.

But anyway women who go after taken men really screw up everything on so many levels. They tempt the taken guy to cheat. They make the girl the guy is with more paranoid. They waste their time pursuing that they won’t likely get (if the guy is decent). And last but not least they make it even to tougher for single guys.

Ladies just because a man is taken it does NOT mean he’s automatically of higher value. Also if he is willing to cheat on his girlfriend/wife then he will cheat on you.

Anyway I know not all women are like this. But an unacceptably high percentage of them are. Some never grow out of this bullsh*t either.

Because a majority of females’ love a challenge , they love a guy that is wanted by other females’ so if she notices another girl hitting on him , she will get jealous that he isn’t picking her anymore over the other girl , Most females love when a guy gets attention from other females’ because it’s a challenge for her. Most females’ are very protective of their man over other girls’ You ever have sex with a girl at your place and she leaves something of hers at your place , like her panties or her bra , she left that item there on purpose , because she is basically letting other girls’ know he is hers. Generally I try to avoid jumping to the caveman and cavewoman brain logic stuff, but I do think there's something primal that drives women to seek to have kids with the tribe leader. Seeing other women with a man fires off those neurons and they're more attracted to him. It's also why women can get jealous, because if she "claims" the man, she knows other women are coming for him.

This is certainly a generalization, and might be completely flawed. Also individuals are capable of rising above our base instincts. I can't say I've ever had the urge to club a man to death with a big stick and then drag his wife into a cave and start a family with her.

But 2. because she might have not found you attractive until another girl did.

One way to know which it is. Did she talk to you at all before or completely ignore you. And how much attention did you show her before hand?

Because women KNOW when you're attracted to them. Even if you're trying to hide it. And a woman that just wants to exploit that for attention will say things to keep that fire burning in you. They'll get hot, cold, hot, cold. This is manipulation plain and simple. A woman that has never said word one to you and all of a sudden shows interest probably has developed genuine interest.

Mate-choice copying is an evolutionary tactic in many species including humans. If the other girl is received as high value, a girl observing the interaction thinks the male is a good catch.
