Ok girls and guys, was I stupid for not getting this guys number?

Ok story time!! Sorry it’s kinda long but I’d appreciate it so much if you read it!! ❤️

So I’m a freshman in hs and I recently went to a choir comp/festival and there were a bunch of other choirs there. When my choir got to the place we were performing at I was talking to my friend and I saw some guy from another choir looking at me and smiling. We made eye contact and he nudged his friend next to him (it’s his friend that I think was really cute and I wanted to get his number, but, I mean, they were both good looking). A few mins later I walked past where their choir was and even more of his friends looked up at me.

Then, I was standing with my friends on the risers and he was standing in front of me. When we were done singing he turned around and said good job to us. Then he told us good job again when we were getting ready to leave to go back home (so maybe was just being nice or he liked one of my friends instead, I don't know).

I can’t tell if he was interested in me or not (please tell me if I’m delusional). My friend kept encouraging me to go up to him and ask for his number, but I thought that might be a little awkward, but I don't know. She said that if he said no, then who cares it’s not like I’m gonna see him again. The guy whose number I wanted is a sophomore and he’s also from another state.

I think I’m more on the introverted side and averagely pretty. I've never really gone up to a guy and asked for his number. I also thought even if I did get his number, there’s no point in texting with a guy who lives in a different state. But I mean maybe it could’ve gotten me some practice in texting with guys 🤷‍♀️? Also, am I too young? I feel like all my other friends around my age have experience in chatting with guys on social media (I dont have social media).

Now I’m back home, overthinking, and regretting it. I think maybe it was the perfect opportunity because I had nothing to loose.

It was a MOMENT. And your statement is the bottom line. HE LIVES IN ANOTHER STATE. Forget about that. No LD. That's just crap at your age.

If you're at another choir meet, make sure you find some LOCAL choir nerds to eyeball and chat up.

Choir is a great skill to foster and people who are doing it love music, singing and doing a team "sport." All good things. It wasn't a rational missed opportunity.

Well you should try to ask somebody out if you like them and they’re not doing it themselves. If he’s out of state you might not see him much so it might not be a bad thing that you didn’t
