If women know they've got no chance with a crush, why do they crush then?

Or such a woman has changed their mind, lost interest, lost the crush or even weirdly - but not unacceptable - wants to protect the crush, by just letting them fade away / become only eye candy + and that's why they give the cold shoulder where possible or expressionless vibes - especially if it's not done to anyone else Around them from observation in interactions + wouldn't surprise me. If I was, I could happily move on. I'm actually relieved. Now it makes sense that it wasn't all in my head and I welcome the cold shoulder. Im not in any position to have a relationship :) I love my single life and besides I'm 30s now - lol 😆 women can find other eligible bachelor's lol

There is always that they ARE making exaggerated behaviours of dismissal that are meant to be seen to encourage the potential suitor to shoot their shot. It's games by the sound of it and rather manipulative. Be wary or challenge it and get to the point in a kind and compassionate way so there's cards on the table and that the BS is for the history books. A new story is to start now or not.

@Shiprex I agree I was also thinking the same thing the past couple of weeks. I certainly think that while crushes (unless all in my head even in past ones) are flattering, it's best I just now avoid that person/that place, just as i often always have if I feel like or sense, even wrongly or correctly, that someone is trying to flirt or pick me up. After all, I don't waste anyone's time not mine as I say I'm single and happy to remain so. That's why I try not to give impressions that I'm seeking when I'm not seeking to date. Anyways not even glanced, besides obligatory eye contact "hey that's my X Y Z over there, can I have that please " or necessary conversations. I feel much relieved now. Avoidance is the best solver :)

@Shiprex it's such a relief though knowing a man can just turn off their crush from crushing on them by avoidance aka as in not going anywhere near them or wherever they go - like that's the downside huh man to be a man or a woman in this world, people always think "oh they're single" and it's like "I'm just here for my coffee, not to be flirted at" and speaking me for me

It's a challenge at times to internalise and work on attractions and desires but I think men are better adjusted at dealing with this and moving on than women are. All too often women will seek revenge and be bitter about it much more to the general group of men instead of seeing them as individual opportunities for romantic liaisons
