Is having good bantering and heavy flirting with a person enough to know whether you have sexual chemistry with them?

I’d say not necessarily but it can be a strong indicator.


If the flirting is natural and reciprocal then attraction is pretty assured. Good banter shows that you match each others energy and humour. When you’re playfully teasing and making eye contact it’s often a sign that there is sexual tension. Sounds also like you are comfortable, relaxed and engaged.. great signs of compatibility and that you match each others speed and conversational style.


However , sexual chemistry involves body language , touch and scent queues. Clearly you can’t fully measure that through conversation alone. Sexual chemistry is at least partly involuntary and how your nervous system or body reacts is a great indicator so again can’t really be discerned by conversation alone… so you have to get a little closer and measure the pull or draw he has on you.


I say spend more time together , share personal space and notice how he reacts and your body reacts but keep the tension and measure it.. this sounds pretty real though

That depends and it depends on the type of flirting. There is romantic flirting and sexual flirting…. it is like empathy and sympathy. They may go together a lot…. But you can have one without the other.

There is also just platonic fondness of someone. Also some people flirt for validation to fluff their egos up. But when it comes down to it. Will reject you…. Especially because it boosts their pride to reject someone. Sounds weird. But some people are weird.

I don't think so. You can have good banter and flirting on the phone, and that's fun to do.
But sometimes you can meet the person and find out that you don't care for their body language, bad manners, talks with food in their mouth, doesn't wash their hands after using the bathroom, etc., but those things can turn a person off when they have to deal with it and your stuck, unlike just getting off a screen.
I think guys are more picky about those things than the woman are though. Sometimes just one wrong thing he doesn't like about you and he's outta there permanently.
