I fear its the kinda thing many will regret at some point. I fear to many do it to fit into a societal norm they don't even need to fit in to rather than due to actual gender dysphoria with their bodies. I find it unsettling we have such an explosion of this phenomenon in young generations that in some discords I am in which have a younger audience a third of them is trans. That used to be not even 1%. I hadn't even met a trans person when I was their age so something is very wrong there.

For those who already transitioned I genuinely hope it was the right move and that it enables them to life the happy live they wanted. But for those who didn't transition yet I warn against it, because you don't need a sex change operation to be allowed to express who you are. Just be you and don't do irreversible modifications to your body. That way if in the end you don't want to be like that anymore there is an easy way back, while once you transition the damage is permanent.

First of all, you don’t understand what it means to be trans. Even just seeing your genital area can trigger crying fits, and being addressed with male pronouns can upset you. Since I was little, my biggest hobby was fashion, and when I was only 12, I wanted to look at and wear Dior dresses. My first crush was a boy in middle school. And back then, the whole “woke” movement hadn’t even started yet.

Was the genital area thing there from the beginning? Because none of the other things qualify to me as a good reason. Who cares if you like fashion? Who cares if you like wearing dresses? Who cares if you are gay? None of that automatically makes you a girl to the point you need to change your body to achieve that. The only one that does is the genital part, and if that was always there then your the kind of person who will probably not regret it and its actually a good thing for. But if the genital thing only came out of resentment that you had to fit in a social role you didn't like I fear there will be a time where you wish you didn't.

Ever since the beginning of puberty, I didn’t want my beard to grow, and I always wanted to look like famous women.

Well all I can really say to that is that I hope you made the right call and that its worth it in the end considering for a lot of people it goes away after puberty has run its course. Being in that state of not wanting to go trough puberty is more common than the people who actively still hate their body by the end of it.

Sounds good actually minus the fact the genital thing will be around. Personally i'd try to get to the point where you don't have such a negative reaction prior to any surgery because if you manage then surgery isn't required.

Why would having surgery be a bad thing? I mean in the sense of getting rid of something that bothers me and being able to have sex freely. Physically, I’m 160 cm tall and 50 kg. I’ve always been hairless. In short, there’s a chance I might be a biological intersex variant rather than being trans. Even without HRT, my body could be mistaken for a girl’s. I guess some things are just like that from birth.

It makes you sterile for one and its not something you can ever undo. That's a big and permanent impact on your life. I'd only do that if you exhausted all other options so that on the long term you maximize your options.

I'm not sure what you mean by "think about."

I generally don't really think anything about them. What they choose to do, and how they live their lives has no affect on me, so there's no compelling reason for me to criticize, or judge, them. They're just another person, so far as I'm concerned.

Why are brain scans not used to diagnose gender dysphoria in people who identify as transgender?

I always hear trans people say they have a brain that don’t match their body.

Brain scans are used to diagnose other conditions such as brain tumours, epilepsy, strokes internal brain bleeding or dementia etc

Because being trans is not an illness or a brain defect, and you can’t scan someone’s brain to determine if they are trans.

@RxR0954 Many transgender people especially transgender women say this. They say stuff like “I have a female brain but a male body” or “my brain is wired like a female.”
Brain scans such as MRIs or CT aren’t used to diagnose gender dysphoria.
How could they know for sure they have a female brain if they have never had a brain scan to prove it.

i said not everything shows up with brain scans, not “nothing in the world will show up”. Just because brain scans are used to diagnose certain conditions doesn’t mean it can diagnose everything.

As of right now I’m just going to believe the scientific and medical evidence is probably not very strong that the people who call themself transgender really do have a brain that doesn’t match their body.

I admit I’m no doctor but I would of thought if the scientific and medical evidence transgender people really do have a brain that doesn’t match their body a brain scan would be used to diagnose gender dysphoria in people who say they are trans before they start doing things like hormone replacement surgery.

A person cannot just say they have a brain tumor and then go into surgery. They have to have a brain scan by the doctor done to prove it first.

A person cannot just say they have epilepsy and then be given anti seizure medication based on words alone. They have to have a brain scan done to prove it first.

… If i have to debunk what you just said and point out unequal comparison it would take hours for me to type it out… kinda like i would have to explain it from the basic which i am very much done with it. let’s just say i understand you’re no doctor and i understand you want to see brain scans to believe trans people and their doctor when they said they have gender dysphoria as HRT can sound scary to you as a cisgender woman. There are tests that psychiatrists and therapists conduct verbally as being trans is relating to identity and you can’t scan a person brain to determine their gender identity. And also, not all trans people want to medically transition, doctors don’t just put trans people on HRT against their will. And even if they want to medically transition it’s a hard and long journal to do so as doctors would need to assess you for gender dysphoria through written and verbal test plus months to years monitoring to make sure you actually want to medically transition and is ready for it. But yea i get what you mean.

I don't have a problem with any of them unless they make it a big deal and become militant about it!! I've got a few trans friends and have known them for the past few decades. Just treat them like any other human being you know and you shouldn't have any problem.

They are just male cross-dressers. Their "feelings" don't matter. No amount of drugs, surgery or makeup can change the fact that they are men.
THEY ARE MEN. That is just a fact.
