He stares in my eyes for a decent amount of time, he stands close to me at times, I can sense him checking me out, he writes "have a good day" notes at work with a smiley face, he put a small heart next to my name on a piece of paper, I told him I was going to dinner by myself out where he lives and he joined me on his own free will and after that he hugged me very tightly. He also mentioned going out again for dinner.

Realistically only time will tell if he’s interested, and if he is then he should act on that by asking you out officially. Until then, it would either have to be you acting on your own personal crush if you have developed feelings for him, or just wait and let it all play out. All we can really do is speculate here and potentially give you false hope if any of us telling you he’s attracted are incorrect, which would be highly disappointing. Obviously we’d hope that this is flirtation and attraction if that’s what you’re looking for, but at the same time he could be one of those men that do a bit too much of this or that without having real intent behind it. I’ve had two girlfriends get their feelings hurt in those exact situations, that’s why I’m not big on making assumptions or forming opinions around them.
