Do you mean they say that to you? If so then it's a high chance they don't take you seriously or see you as a child. Girls don't date "awwwweee". Awwwwweee is something you say to a child or a puppy when they do something cute.

They mean cute as in you're a cute and a nice guy who they wanna be friends with. Not the cute guy who they would wanna go out with. You're not that type of "cute" for them to consider dating with that type of response.
