My ex boyfriend is talking to me again. He talks to me then ignores me. What is the deal?

We dated for a year and a half and then he broke up with me out of the blue. We had tons of problems and it is probably best we broke up, but it was still devastating. He was my first boyfriend and our relationship was very serious. Now it has been 6 months and he is suddenly talking to me again. This has happened before. He talks with me and then ignores me and the cycle repeats. This time it has been longer more frequent conversations though and we have not brought up the past. What does it mean that he is still contacting me?

It means that after having someone in your life, you get used to them, and it's hard to adapt to change, so you slowly ease into it. This is his way of doing so. I think.

He could be thinking of you from time to time, as you were a part of his life.

You shouldn't be reading too into it because it might end up hurting you.

And if it's unfair and bothers you, because he'll end up ignoring you, then let him know.

He still has feelings for you. You shouldn't go back to him if he ignores you, show him you have dignity! He is obviously not worth it if he sudddenly ignores you. Be friends but if he has other intentions then break it off. That's my advice hope it was useful:)
