How shy are you?

I am painfully shy until I get to know you really well.

I use to be so very shy until I found out what was really happening

In grade school there were these 2 girls that when they would see me they would call my name my last name

Everyone called me by my last name. But any way from across the courtyard they would yell my name and I would want to pretend I didn't hear them I would want to run ... fast!! LOL

They would run up to me and start talking and my whole body chemistry would just change you know how young adult male hormones would kick in and I would say please God not right now what are you doing and my eyes would get beat red I could feel them my mouth would get dry but I would get sweaty and I would just want to run because I could just feel this rushing through me and I couldn't understand it and it wasn't for probably about another 10 years later I've realized what it was well somebody told me what it was is every time that they would come around me I would feel their energy and I always thought it was me that I was feeling and once I understood this and how it worked then I opened right up because most of anybody that I was talking to I could feel their energy and that just changed everything I opened right up

I'm still kind of shy sometimes I guess it depends on who I'm talking to or who I would like to talk to you but just don't for some reason I don't know but yes I have always been kind of shy quiet very quiet until you get to know me and then I won't shut up LOL

Shy as fuck, but I power through it and force myself to be more extroverted depending on the scenario. It's always really tough to push past that initial resistance and fear though.

I voted “not shy at all" but, there have been times I was shy, I just normally am not so I could have also picked "a little shy" I guess. The times I mean are, like when something disturbing happened in a relationship I might not want anybody to look at me or touch me for a while, one time I didn't even want to go out in public, but that was sort of a special case I don't think it's normal shyness it was because of things that happened. It was also like 8 years ago so I don't want it to sound like I mean "this happened last week" or anything.

LOL, not shy at all. I'll pretty much say anything to anyone anywhere. I don't need anyone to like me. And I don't suffer fools quietly. But my usual repellant is to just not engage with most people.

I will not share a lot of details with people who chat me up. But that's not shyness. That's managing the information people have about me.

I think I’m more selectively shy than fully shy.

I can be pretty quiet or reserved at first, especially around people I don’t fully know yet. But once I feel comfortable and understand someone’s energy, I become much more open and expressive naturally.

I guess for me it’s less about being shy, and more about taking time before fully showing myself.

Zero shyness, but I am pretty laid back. That said, I have been doing public speaking and performing in front of people since my age was in the single digits. I've been a musician since 4th grade and a DJ since 10th grade and being old as dirt that's a long time.

Not at all shy I'm just quiet by nature and very laid back, relaxed, solemn.

But I'll talk with just about anyone about almost anything and within a few conversations I'll be talking to them no differently then someone I've known for years.

I'm the same as @7phoenix7. Not shy, but introverted. "Shy" indicates that a level of fear is present, and that they probably have self confidence issues. I never fear interacting with people, I just don't like people.
