What does it mean when you get compliments that you look like a “doll”?

I noticed it has been repetitive by both men and women. But I don’t fully grasp what does that mean when someone say I looked like a doll…

It was a positive saying so, it is a positive saying though I never use it in public or private in my life so…. I don't know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They don’t mean it in a bad way, but now that I’m faced with it I don’t see how it could be seen in a good way yet it is 🤣

I want to say, you are a kind, joyful, funny, exciting, and cool person who brings a lot to the community here on GAG (since you are a member of the community), wouldn’t be the same without you. Saying all that sounds better than what one word can do ngl.

Ok so when I was younger way younger I had 3 step sisters they were always playing with dolls. One Christmas they all three got the same type of Barbie the Barbie came with clothes different types of clothes and three different color hairstyle wigs and when they would play with them I would tell them why don't you dress it up like this or why don't you dress it up like that so even I if you look like a dog would call you a doll are you saying that you look like a doll probably because I'd want to dress you up LOL hey it's just being honest but that's what it could mean

I mean even you wouldn't want to have a male doll that you could do anything with that was real could be fun

I think it mostly means very cute pretty nicely dressed and that kind of thing, although it can also mean “nice” or “sweet.” JMO!

It typically means you have a round, youthful face, big eyes, and a pleasant shape - all attributes of a typical doll. And if you are petite, then it's even more likely that you fit the doll stereotype. It's definitely used as a compliment in nearly all cases.
