Did my friend’s boyfriend’s best friend like me, or should I move on?

I met my friend’s boyfriend’s best friend when we all went out drinking. At one point, my friend and her boyfriend left us alone, so we ended up talking one-on-one for a while. It was a little awkward at times and the conversation would die down, but he kept picking it back up, asking me questions, making good eye contact, smiling, and teasing me. He also asked what I thought of him since I studied psychology and later joked about my answer. He asked how long I was staying and when I was leaving too. Nothing happened between us, but it felt playful and like he was genuinely interested in continuing the conversation. My friend and her boyfriend even commented how silly our conversations were. I want to get to know him more, but I’m hesitant because my friend is going through a rough patch with her boyfriend, and I don’t know if he felt the same. He hadn’t said anything to them, and her boyfriend’s also not the type to pry either.

Relax, shorty. The vibe he gave off doesn't necessarily mean he's into you. He could've just been being friendly, keeping the convo going out of politeness, or just enjoying the moment. Some people are naturally flirty without meaning anything by it. +, the fact that he asked about your psych background and your stay could just be curiosity or small talk, not romantic interest. Don't overread it especially with your friend's drama going on. If he really wanted something, he'd probably reach out or say something to his buddy. Until then, just take it as a fun night and nothing more.
