Why would she offer me her number and then seemingly block me?

I was at a friend's wedding and at the single's table. A woman I'd been talking to for the whole reception offered me her phone number without me asking for it or indicating I wanted it.

After the initial name exchange texts, I'm sure I'm blocked. I discovered it because I sent a text a few hours later to make sure she got home safe from her drive (several hour drive, she'd drank a little bit). Followed by one last follow up 2 days later ('hope you made it home safe, enjoyed the conversation but won't text again until you do' kind). Neither of those texts have moved beyond Delivered while the name exchange showed Read.

Mind you, I didn't notice any visible discomfort from her, she'd engaged in the conversation (that I noticed) and I even asked at one point to make sure I wasn't being too much by continuing to talk to her. Plus we were in a public place, which I know might not be enough sometimes, but I would hope she didn't feel obligated in order to disengage (again, I NEVER asked for her number)

I'm fine with her not responding or having decided not to talk, I'm just confused about why someone would offer their number freely, without being asked, and then immediately block.

I would like to add: I didn't say anything sexual or suggestive and the most forward thing I did was offer to go watch a movie she'd said she'd been meaning to watch the next day if she was still in town
