Signs a guy wants you to leave him alone?

How do you know when a guy wants you to leave him alone because he doesn't like you OR if he feels you're not interested so he's ignoring you because of that?

What's the difference between ignoring a girl on purpose (shyness, whatever) and ignoring one you don't care about?

If he's just shy, he will still like it when you are around and enjoy talking to you if you smile and make the conversation easy.

He really doesn't care if you do these things and he doesn't indicate any interest whatsoever.

If he likes you, even if he's shy he will go out of his way to be around you or to try to talk to you about anything or at least place himself in a position where he can look at you. Quite pathetic really but if he doesn't do anything like this then he probably isn't even thinking about you.
