Can you suddenly stop liking someone? your boyfriend in particular?

So I have been going out with my boyfriend for 8 months, and a few days ago I've been thinking about what would happen if I didn't like him, if I randomly stopped liking him and its weird wen I thought about him I didn't feel anything..wen I was with him today..i didn't feel anything. Sure I care about him and like him but I felt...i don't know, numb? And it scares me to think I may not like him, hopefully its just a little phase because I don't wanna loose him, just thinking bout it makes me cry. I just want to know if you can suddenly just stop liking someone like that or what do you guys think? I know you can't force feelings but all I know is I don't wanna loose him, he's my everything, he's like a part if me, I wanna be in love with him, we both do. After 8 months we still Haven't said "i love you" (but that's another story) we're 16 and we've both felt like were almost there, like were almost in love, but then suddenly it takes like 2 days to unlike him? Can that happen or what? Can you stop liking someone suddenly? Because I sure as hell don't want to stop liking him :'(

You will always feel like your in and out of love with someone. Don't worry about it. It's like love goes through cycles. If you didn't have feelings for him anymore you would seriously not be worried about it and you wouldn't be asking this question. Sometimes things happen and place your energies elsewhere.

As you are young, don't worry that you haven't said I love you. I love the fact that you are not just saying it for the sake of saying it. It means that you are serious about this. Just look out for the signs that he really wants to be with you. That all that should matter at this stage of your life.

its completely normal to feel like this. its OK. I have felt it for my boyfriend of 7 yrs! the kind of love which you watch in movies where the guy and girl are 24*7 in deep love is not really the reality. there are phases when you feel as if you will die without the person..there are times when you feel as if you don't really love the person. but I know that I love my boyfriend irrespective of such high and lows. so don't worry... unless you start feeling as if you want to get rid of the guy and you wd be happy without him
