Touching my shoulders and patting my back?

I was standing at the computer at work today and my coworker walks by and touches both of my shoulders at the same time and then pats my back.

Then he used my mic (that's clipped on my shirt pocket) to tell the manager something and then he clipped it back on.

Usually, he's nice, but he's always giving me grief about things at work. And up in my business when I'm working on something. Like in a nosey kind of way. He's at least 7-10 years older than me.

What does it mean when guys touch your shoulders and pat you on the back? It kinda caught me off guard..

He's probably just trying to show clear signs of interest in order to get your attention, what matters most is your response to him when he does it. If you simply tell him you don't like it he should stop doing so, assuming he's not a creep. If you tell him you like it then he'll probably become all bubbly inside. If you ignore it and don't say anything he will assume you're allowing him to continue and he will keep on doing it until he decides to escalate.

Slightly pervy? Or just a little awkward. I had an old co-worker who did that, and he was nice, just a little awkward. Check if he does it to anyone else.

A younger guy did the shouler thing and we flirt...eventually he kissed me... So just use caution.

He talks to me a lot and does this awkward "knocking" thing when he leavesmy counter. Like he knocks on my counter three times when he walks away like its a nervous habit or something. He rubs my back in circles randomly idk

Like Markezzo said, he is flirting. Its up to you at this point to tell him you don't like being touch that way (shoulder and rubbing back) if you don't like him. If you like him have fun flirting and thing about the consequence of dating a co worker.
