How do I ask a guy out to lunch?

Suggest that you guys hang out out of work one day. Plain and simple, no need to sugar coat it. You can ask him what he's doing after work (or before) and see if he wants to meet up for lunch. But be careful, lunch usually gives off the friends only vibe.
