My boyfriend always calls me cute and not hot or attractive, why?

Cute means "pretty" or "attractive" but with a dash of innocence thrown in. It's also a "sweet" way to tell you that you're pretty to him.

"Hot" is pretty, but in a more overtly sexual way; "hot" always has a sexual component. And while I'm sure finds you hot, he may think that you wouldn't like it if he was always thinking about you in the context of sex (many girls complain about that), so he's using non-sexual terms so that you realize that he thinks you are pretty even when you aren't having sex or in a sexual context.

Essentially, you're worrying about nothing. Like so many women, instead of accepting the compliment, you want to over-analyze it and try to find a hidden meaning, but guys don't talk in subtext and hidden meanings. They almost always mean what they say literally, and without any subtext. So quit over-thinking what he says to you and start accepting it at face value, because that's how he means it.

Because he thinks saying "ur hawt" makes it seem like he's only after one thing, when he's most likely trying to be respectful. He's just trying to make sure you're not uncomfortable with what he says, but if it's what you want, then by all means, tell him.

Ask him. I personally would feel weird calling my girlfriend hot, since it sounds more objective. But each of these words means something different to everybody. If you ask him, you'll know for sure what he's thinking rather than other people's interpretations of it. Communication is always good (: Good luck!
