Thinking of asking him "so when are you gonna ask me out?" - guys what do you think?

Yay or nay? Too forward? I'm 100% certain this guy is interested but we haven't had many private time opportunities so it has in fairness been difficult. But just to tease him/ help the situation along I was thinking of saying something along these lines next time I get him alone and cosy with me.

Eh, don't do it that way. As a guy, I would feel like that was manipulative, no matter if you just mean it to tease or not. If he does ask right then, the next thing he will think is "Dang, now she thinks I am only asking because she asked me to ask." And if he doesn't ask right then, he might decide never to do so, because it seems like you expect it, so the surprise is gone, and that takes a bit of the magic out of it. It would be much better, if he's taking a little longer than you'd like, for you to just ask him directly.

yeah but doing it in a flirty/ playful non-confrontational way.

asking someone out direct can be very intimidating and put them on the spot.

its not what you do it's how you do it that counts ;)

that's good advice. last time we had the chance to be alone for a few hours something happened last minute and there was a change of plans and someone else had to step in for me. he looked quite disappointed. I suspected something might have gotten said that time. thanks.
