Asking a guy out?

I want to ask him if he wants to see a play with me but I'm unsure if I should ask via text or in person?

He works at the theatre itself but the play is pretty romantic and has kissing scenes and sexual themes. ? What if he doesn't say yes face to face as he couldn't decide that time? Cos this is a romantic play and has kissing scenes and sexual themes hence ik not sure if he will be able to decide face to face and like I said our relationship is pretty complex

I feel like if I ask him via text he probably has more time to think and answer whether it's a yes or no and in person it can be a bit weird? Since our relationship is kinda complex.

Should I text? Or ask in person?

Text him and let him know you want to see that play and if he would like to see it with you. Then you can say you don’t have to answer now, I’ll talk to you the next time I see you.


That way it’s a face to face but he has advanced warning.


Personally I do everything face to face. But I understand there are times when text messages have their value.

I feel like he will be caught off guard and won't be able to respond yes or maybe dmhive a vague response if asked face to face?

That’s why I suggested warning him in advance that you want to go to that. That gives him time to prepare for the face to face.
