She rejected me, but I still love her?

So almost a year ago I told one of my close female friends that I like her as more than a friend and asked her if she would be my girlfriend. She rejected me and we didn't speak for a few months, but now our friendship is pretty well back together and we're laughing and smiling with each other again. Yet, I still get this feeling when I'm around her, I can't even describe. It's not that I still like her, but I feel like she's more than a friend and we don't flirt or anything. So what is it?

you still have feelings for her. you are one of those guys who will always be stuck at the friendship line wanting more. she quit talking to you for a little bit because when a girls guy friend asks her out but she's not interested in him more then a friend it hurts her to have to tell the guy no. I have experienced this throughout my life. I'm 19 almost 20 and I've had to tell plenty of my guy friends no when they asked me out. it just took her some time to calm down and get used to it all because of the "awkwardness" of having to tell you no. you are her close friend so it just upset her to have to do that to you. its just friendship. you will probably always ant more then just friendship and since she's not letting you past that line she's at least not letting it affect yalls friendship. please do not worry a bout this too much. just go and enjoy having her as a friend. at least she came back to you as a friend. I've had to stop talking ot guys all together before because of how awkward it was after they asked me out. but you are young so don't worry about it. she's still there for you and will be no matter what. she's going to be so happy for you when you do get a girlfriend and go talk to her about who you are with. you just need to be a good support when she finds a man and wants to talk to you about it. don't let that ruin your friendship. you will regret it.

i had that same problem when i was in hs. i tried to convince myself i could be just friends with a girl i had feelings for but i was not only lying to her but to myself. i do believe most guys brains aren't fully developed well into their 20s. as a guy in my late 20s i know that if i have feelings for a girl and she rejects me i won't lie to myself that i wanna be just friends with her and not have feelings for her. if she doesn't feel the same way for me that i don't wanna be just friends with her. i also don't wanna talk to her unless she does wanna be more than just friends. that's just my opinion.
