What causes intense attraction??

What causes intense attraction between two people? Most of the time, if you meet someone that you haven't spoken to before you will either feel an attraction towards them or not. So what causes this attraction? How do you know if the other person is feeling the same "energy" as you are? What hints?

i think I'v felt it it too! its just one person you always notice and are drawn to them! there was this one guy that every time we'd pass each other I always felt something special...i don't even kno how to say it...a few years later we were introduced and we became really good friends. like we got along soo well. I don't think I have ever gotten along with anyone that well!and when we spend time together there are so many moments where we just catch each others gaze and its like actually amazing...but scary sometimes...like we never dated or anything because he had a gf...even now when we talk there is soo much attraction and I kno he feels it too...but I kno both of us would never say anything about it. its like had we met in another time and place mayb we would be together. but sumtimes that deep attraction is not enough.

How can he continue being with his girlfriend if he has this intense attraction with you? Are you sure you should continue talking with him? wouldn't you get hurt, since you can never be with him.

If you look into each other's eyes and you feel a connection/chemistry. I think that is one of the most amazing things in the world-when you can look into someone's eyes and know what they are thinking and you haven't even spoke a word to each other.

Sounds amazing!:) Do you have any idea why it only occurs with certain people and not everyone? I just find that so weird and interesting to me!

Sorry I don't have a clue but it really interests me too-i love searching things up like that on the internet-i love reading about body language, especially eye contact. I find it amazing how two people that have never talked can share something so intense :)

My question is how do you know if the other person is feeling what you are feeling when you look into eachothers eyes? (you know....the sparks, the goosebumps, the stomach jumping....)

I don't think you can def know-maybe you can see it in their eyes. For me, there's one guy that whenever I see always looks into my eyes-i don't know him and have never spoken to him but we always look into each others eyes and its like for that moment noone else matters-its amazing and I always think how can people not see that connection we have (ya know the people who are with us). I think if someone keeps looking back into your eyes they must feel the same feelings you feel :)

Im way too shy unfortunately and the thing is he now has a girlfriend :( but will still carry on looking and smiling and everything-guys are soo confusin lol.

We're glutton for punishment lol. I don't understand guys at all-they stare and smile at 1 girl all the time but then go out with another girl whilst all the time carrying on staring and smiling at this other girl-sometimes I wish I never had feelings for anyone ever again-would be soo much easier! lol :)
