He called me his other half?

My best friend [he's a guy, PS], and I always say that we love each other and stuff, and we call each other our twin, cause we have the same birthday.

He said, in one sentence, "you are my best friend, my twin, and my other half."

...I don't get it Dx

I want him to like me, so I'm confused about it. I don't know if I should make a move or not. I'm normally really really shy around people in general, but I feel more comfortable around him.

He apparently wants a deeper relationship with you. If you're not aware, by calling you his other half, he is making a reference to the Biblical description of marriage, which entails "becoming as one in the flesh". Hence, if you combine to equal one, then individually you each represent half of the one whole.

he probably means that without you he wouldn't know what to do. he could like you, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. he's just saying that you basically complete him and you guys are so much alike that without you its like he's incomplete and would be lost in the world..
