Why does he text me but then ignore me in person?

So this guy has been texting me a lot for the last few weeks, and he texted me last night just to talk. Then he came to the same party that I was at, and I went to sit by him and he didn't say anything! Not even hi. :S why does he text me and then not wanna talk in person? We've gone to the same parties before and he's been all over me. But not this time.

Sounds like he is insecure and was probably worried that you aren't that into him since he has to initiate the interaction every time. You should just have talked to him, I'm sure in his mind he figured that if you wanted to talk to him you would. He was probably just nervous for the reason I described but it never hurts to ask. Why not ask him?

This has happened to me before. I think it means he is scared to death of you because he likes you. I personally think it's a turnoff.
