He could literally think YOU'RE not interested in him anymore so he's acting disinterested back to you.

I've had it happen before. Let's say the guy starts acting a little differently for no serious reason, and the girl notices and has doubts about his interest in them. This makes the girl start feeling that way back to the boy and it ends up with both of you thinking you're not interested in each other. It's a toxic cycle to get stuck in and without open communication, it gets soo much worse...

I'm not saying this is the case with your relationship but it can't hurt trying to communicate openly about it.

Just be understanding and apologize if you made him feel like your behavior towards him has changed. Share that you feel like he seems less interested in you and ask if this is because of how he's been feeling about your behavior towards him.

Perhaps he’s just playing hard to get and pretending that he’s not interested when he actually likes your more than he wants to admit.
