When you make plans with a guy and he says "it's a date" does that mean it's actually a date?

me and a guy made plans to "hang out" and we finalized the plans and he said "its a date" does that mean that its like a date? we're pretty flirty with each other but I don't know if its like a date.

Put it this way...no matter how you perceive the outing, HE is going to perceive it as a date, and he let you know he is perceiving it as a date.

Therefore, if you accept this plan to hang out...then you ACCEPT that it is a date.

He didn't say that for no reason. He said that to make sure that his intentions are clear, so there are no misunderstanding.

It's what YOU think it is. If you want it to be a date, then it's a date. It takes two to make a date. Don't go by what he considers it to be.

I find it hard to believe that you, as a guy, hear a dude make plans to hang out with a girl and he says "it's a date"...

...and not actually mean "im interested in you" date.

I personally think that it doesn't really have to mean anything.. "its a date" is a pretty common, and if you say that you guys are pretty flirty with each other then it might just be another flirt. I think most guys shy away from saying the word date unless they mean it, but I'm just saying there's another possibility too.

I think so. Plus, if a guy asks me to "hang out," I tell them I do not "hang out," go "hang out" with your boys. I date.

also I don't think any guy would say this if he wasn't somewhat romantically interested, even if they are just friends.
