She flirts with me one day, ignores me the next?

I've only talked to this girl a couple times, but the second time I talked to her, she tried to get my attention as I walked by and then when I talked to her, she hit me on the arm a couple times during the conversation. I asked for and eventually received her number (not sure if this was the way to go but I'm still figuring it out). Anyway, I see her once a week, so the next week, something strange happened. When I was about to open the door to the room, she came out of the other side; she just looked at me and I looked at her, no hey or anything, and I just kept walking. Then for the rest of that day she sat and talked with her other friends and we didn't talk or anything. Did I read too much into her before? If I did, whatever, I'm still trying to figure this out.

It's true, it could be a misunderstanding or maybe it could be that she is testing to see how interested you really are. Some girls like being chased, it'll give her that special feeling of being wanted. Try inviting her out somewhere and see how it goes.

I wasn't sure if I was gonna be able to, so I got it since we were having a good conversation. When she gave me the number, though, things felt a little weird, she was a little coy about giving it to me, so the vibe was off too and made me a bit more unsure.

The part where you guys talk to each other and you even have her number, then on the other occasion she seems not to recognize you at all? Maybe she really didn't recognize you for some reason (was in a hurry, was distracted or whatever), so next time just greet her and try to talk to her and you'll see how it goes.
