Why does he want me to smoke weed with him?

I'm a freshman in college and I've been friends with this guy for several months. We were very flirty for a while and almost started dating, but then he decided to get back together with an old girlfriend. She goes to a different college, though.

Anyway, he was telling me about how he just started smoking weed again occasionally and it made him say some crazy stuff when he was at a party. Then he asked me if I'd smoke with him sometime, just me and him. I thought he was kidding but he was completely serious. I said no and he asked why a couple more times and then dropped it.

He knows I don't drink or do any kind of drugs. I'm really shy and a good girl. I'm trying not to read too much into it, but it really bothers me that he asked that. So, why would someone ask you to smoke weed with them?

just your typical college drug user , I saw that kind of things all the time . half the people at college smoke pot at least once a month and I wouldn't be surprised if 25 % smoke once a week . marijuana use is generally pretty high at the college level and common .

i had 3 roommates over my 4 plus years of college who smoked pot , one was an aspiring musicial who smoked in the college res even though it wasn't allowed . another was actaully selling the stuff out of his room and people come to buy from him when he lived at our house off campus . another guy was a cook and smoked and did drugs in his room . he was a nice guy but definity into drugs . I meet so many people into drugs it got tiring over the years to have to deal with

I'm thinking that you're reading into it a lot. What gets me is that he wants to have one on one with you alone but he have a girlfriend. He might be interested.

To lower your resistance to sex. A lot of people get hornier when they burn. Many guys use getting high with you as a way "in". Now you've got your Stoner types who enjoy weed and want someone to smoke with, but usually when a guy is persistent about it, its usually for the first reason.

He's really excited about weed right now. People who are newbies and excited about drugs tend to get excited about introducing them to new people. Just let him know it's not your thing.

P.S. I don't smoke, but twas offered NUMEROUS times in college (damn racial stereotypes, huh?)
