Girls: When a guy asked you out and you said no, have you ever changed your mind?

I'm sick of all these guys thinking that when they ask me out and I say no that's not what I really mean.

Even though I say no they read falsely in to my "body language" and think what I mean is "not now" or something...

My friends tell me to "give him a chance" or else tell the guys "she'll change her mind one day, just be patient."

IF I TELL YOU I DON'T WANT TO DATE YOU, I DON'T AND NEVER WILL!

Please don't make it uncomfortable for both of us by keeping asking.

yea, I respect you but, whatever the reasons for you to reject a guy, you don't have to be so condescending though.

Guys think what they think because you're not being clear enough, and maybe ambiguous. Say something like: sorry, I am not interested in you and I hope you can move on. This way you say you're not happy to have to disappoint him, you say you're not interested and subtly indicate to him that he should move on because there's no future between the two of you. DO NOT make up excuses, DO NOT beat around the bush, and DO NOT play games with rejection. So don't say you're busy now, have personal problems, have a boyfriend (if you don't) or any other lame excuse. If you're not clear and to the point, guys will always keep some hope and you don't want that.

I don't know if it's of any interest or added value to you, but I have certainly changed my mind about a girl. It wasn't always the case that she had approached me and I rejected her, but there were also instances in which I met a girl and wasn't interested at all. Then after getting to know her better I got attracted to her. I don't know what causes this, but perhaps it's because I'm open-minded and prepared to explore or am unable to properly establish whether I like a girl or not. I doubt I'm the only guy with this experience (I had multiple) and I doubt this has never happened to a girl.

Here is the thing, some women try to soften the blow by saying. "I'm not ready to date again" "I just got out of a relationship", "I have a boyfriend"etc. The problem is that those are not an actual flat out no. The guy takes it as maybe at a later date. Women don't need to be cruel to get the point across just a I'm not interested in you that way. I've seen many men wait a women out because they got one of the rejection lines above. I have never asked a women out twice, but that doesn't mean I haven't held out on hope. I had a friend that after several years I started having feelings for. I asked her out, she said she doesn't see me as anything other than a friend, and started crying. Several times mutual friends said we should date, every time she would cry. I mistook the crying as she had feelings for me but didn't want to pursue them for whatever reason. An example of stupid thinking when feelings are involved. I held out hope for a long time because of that.

You'll keep being sick as it seems many guys don't take a gal's "No" seriously because:

- some gals saying no to play hard to get means all/most gals do

- "No doesn't really mean no" so if he's persistent he'll change her mind

- "Women don't know what they want" so if he doesn't like what you say he can chalk it up to you not really meaning it because you have a vagina unlike if you had a d*ck you'd know what you want

- "What women say and what women do are completely different" so just because you said no doesn't mean you won't date him because you have vagina unlike if you had a d*ck you'd do what you say

The problem that often happens is that some girls play games with guys and that can make it very confusing at times.

If you definetely want a guy to not ask again just outright tell them "I'm sorry but I don't see us together at all". If you get your point across instead of just a no then it's a better response...besides saying no often leads some guys to wonder why if you just outright say no.

How would you like it if you confessed your feelings towards a guy, but at that moment, he ment not right now? So later on in life he apologizes for breaking your heart and wants to give it another shot, knowing he needed some time to think about it.

Have you ever heard of any guys who have changed their minds on a girl and won his second chance at dating her and she didn't reject him and from then on the two of them became a couple?

Guys should take no as no and girls should say "not now" if that's what they mean. 90% of the time no means "I'm not interested in you that way" because if we truly dig you we'll want to date you.

No I have not heard of a guy being successful later on..
