Trending & News Honey, this is your classic "I need an ego boost" move. Your guy is feeling like no-one fancies him so he texts you to reassure himself that he's still got someone 'on call'. Try ignoring him. He'll either go bonkers wondering what you're up to, or, he'll find a new willing ego stroker elsewhere. Either way, you save yourself credit and heartache. It's no skin off your nose, you can do better. Stop feeding this loser's ego and drop him like a hot potato. If you feel it will be difficult, try texting something positive to a friend instead of responding to him; like next time he texts you, text your friend telling her how great she is and how much you appreciate her friendship. Or text your Mum to say hi. She'll be delighted and you'll feel the positives, whereas he'll just lap it up and move on to someone else without giving you a second thought while you worry why he didn't XYZ! Don't be that girl.
He sort of felt like talking to you, but wasn't really THAT interested in talking to you. You gave him a dead end reply, and he didn't care enough to put the effort into coming up with something to talk about.
He was bored and wanted to see if he still "got it". Some people want to see if their exes still care enough to text them back or if they've moved on and will just ignore them.
It seems like he's bored. You simply have to move on from him.
He's not interested anymore, and you need to find a new guy for yourself.
