Boyfriend says he likes holding hands and linking arms but never does it

I always have to be the one to hold his hand in the movies. And I've only held his arm twice when walking I've never tried to hold his hand because I'm afraid he'd pull away. I asked him if he doesn't like it and he says he does but he doesn't do it with me? Something's off no?

I think he's just shy. When my boyfriend and I started out I'd never hold his hand or anything because I was kinda shy. I'd always wait for him to do it but I really liked it when he did. Now I'm more comfortable in our relationship and do it whenever I feel like it. How long have you been together? Maybe your boyfriend just needs more time to get comfortable in your relationship.

Perhaps he's got a shy gene. Or maybe he's not sure if you like it. He may not think about it until you try it. I doubt he would pull away, don't be afraid to try it. If he does pull away then you will know something's weird.
