Girls, if the guy doesn't ask you out quickly, do you lose interest & stop liking him?

I have noticed that girls will sometimes just stop talking to me and stop flirting out of nowhere. My friends who are girls have said that if a girl likes a guy she will lose interest and stop liking him if he doesn't show interest back by asking her out. Is that true for you girls? I think it must be true sometimes, because I have had girls go from flirting hardcore and staring and giggling a lot to just nothing!

yea because we keep waiting and waiting each day when you're gonna ask for our number at least, at least get talking, and nothing you don't show interest back, you don't ask us out, there are times where I think hmmn this would be a nice place to go out with him I wish we could just be adventurous and go somewhere right now, and nothing he's so attached to his damn phone playing temple run or texting others, while I'm here freakin getting wrinkles wondering if he's ever gonna ask me out or like me like that...its like f*** that I don't want all this stress he's a nobody to me from now on. especially if I'm trying so hard here, trying to be near you and talking to you about dumb sh*t because I f***ing like you and want to be close to you and you're on your sh*t phone playing candy crush or something f*** that I'm moving on.

After a while, if he doesn't make a move, I'll just assume he doesn't like me like that. That could be what's happening with you.

In those cases, I'll either make a move on him or just back off completely. I don't want to flirt with someone if I think he doesn't like me, that'd make me feel pathetic.

what about the guys who are slow when it comes to picking up on a girl flirting? a lot of times I don't really notice this sudden drop off and put two and two together until after they stop talking. I know it is my fault for being bad at picking up signs, but I can't be the only guy!

I don't play games, I'm just blunt and honest. No ambiguity, with my flirting anyway.

Your comments suggest you DO pick up on their signals though, so I don't know why you keep saying that. If you were clueless, you wouldn't even notice a difference in their behavior. You wouldn't even realize they were flirting to begin with.

After a while we will think that you just have no interest and will move on. But if you show interest by flirting then it would be different. Not necessarily asking her out right away. But it all depends on how you feel. If she doesn't want to wait for you, if it is a shorter amount of time, then her loss.

yeah, part of the prob is "flirting" is so subjective. girls may think they are being obvious, while guys may view it as harmless flirting and nothing that serious coming from the girl. I know I have made that mistake many times

True. Maybe try to make a move if you think she's flirting and if she kinda rejects it then move on but if she goes along with it then you're good :)

Yeah, I think you have a certain period of time in which a girl is interested and if you miss that window of opportunity, she has moved on.

sometimes, but for the most part, guys will normally be very direct when he shows interest. so if he doesn't, I normally try not to think too hard about it (in my head, its more so..'oh..he doesn't like me at all' I should probably move on' ) and move on .
