Does ignoring a guy really make him notice you more???

I've always been told that feelings grow stronger with distance, and that if a girl ignores a guy, he'll take more notice of them and be more "intrigued", is that true?

i think it depends on how long and much you have both known each other...like if youve been friends, talkeed, had convos, and are attracted, and reached a point where you are familiar with onee another now and he drops hints he likes you and flirts, yes ignoring him for a couple of days will make him think and he won't see you as clingy or desperate...everyone should have their space, and a girl should be self-reliable and independent which makes men attracted to her...she shouldnt be calling a guy all the time texting and become too dependent and attached...in that sense ignoring him for a day or two can make him miss you and trigger him to call you up to see you...

but if its just lust, initial attraction, a simple crush, you met oncee known each others names...the BOND is not that intense for him to care if you ignore him or not, if you get what I am saying...youll just be another girl in the same old crowd...

friendship exists in all relationships, and using that to create a bond with a guy will make you two grow together and become attached

It really depends on the guy. Usually I find that it works on overly confidant guys, like ones who think they can get anything they want, but it could scare other guys away and make them think your not interested. Also I think it might just mean that you shouldn't be too clingy not that you should ignore him alot. Hope I helped :)

To me, when a chick ignores a dude and acts like she can't return a phone call or a message, it sends the wrong message. I think I speak for most of the brothas wit some game when I tell you we don't find it cute, we take it as playing games, being childish or disinterest. Either way, it lowers our interest, if not respect for you.

No. Ignoring a guy is worse. It is actually women who get a little more interested when a guy has shown interest before, but suddenly doesn't.

When a guy becomes "intrigued", he becomes more obsessed.

Okay, well, I can't find the article. but I think sexual attraction will remain the same but emotional attachment is sure to wane if the ignoring continues. how would that even make sense? a girl likes a guy, so she ignores him? that's illogical

No. I think ignoring a guy will make the guy lose interest or not even think of you at all. Sometimes a guy will feel as your ignoring him as a rejection aswell.
