Why does he only text me during the week?

There is this guy I like and we been friends for a couple months now but I wouldn't say were that close. I have a huge crush on him. He texts me all the time on the weekends. Even if its just asking me what I'm doing and hows everything not always to hang out even though when we hang out its mostly at parties and gatherings and things like that he asked me before if I want to hang out with just him but he never follows through. Anyways my point is why doesn't he text me during the week? I feel as though I can't text him during the week because he never texts me during the weeks so I feel obsessive and I know you could say maybe its to make plans but he doesn't even make plans all the time he just asks me what I'm doing and stuff. Any ideas?

Stop living like it's 1905. Text him during the week, instead of sitting there, waiting for him. take initiative and go after what you want. you have one life and then its over. just text him during the week and bring up hanging out, if he's unresponsive to you or doesn't seem into it, it's a good sign that he's not into you and at least you can move on instead of obsessing.

Maybe he is busy? Work, school? I think the bigger issue is he asks you to hang out with him but doesn't follow through. He wants to be with you but him never following through makes him sound a little shady (not enough detail know about him but maybe he has a girlfriend who is busy during the weekends or out of town?).

What I mean about never follows through is he will say we should hang out together and ill say ya just let me know when but he never lets me know. And he's kinda shy like I was the one who talked to him first and he works a lot and I don't know if he likes me were just friends.

Well there you go he is shy. I am shy myself and let me tell you a shy guy is going to have a real hard time being aggressive when it comes to arranging a date, being able to open up with you and being able to express how he feels about you. Text or using the internet is a lot easier for me and probably him because face to face interaction is intense for people who are really shy. I think your going to have to give him a chance to open up, maybe if you want to

- go to a movie with him mention a movie that is out and see if he says you want to go see it? The hardest problem a shy guy will ever face is being more than friends. Trust me I lost out on many women I felt emotionally attached to all because I couldn't take the extra step to let them know how I felt.
