He only texts me once a week should I be concerned?

This is my first relationship and it’s long distance as he lives 4 hours away from me. We’ve never had an argument and we seek to get along really well. We both constantly tell eachother we love eachother and it’s kinda of like we’re in the honeymoon phase all the time. It’s been a couple months talking to him and I’ve noticed he’s not the type to check up on me everyday or text me daily. Should I be concerned?
I normally don’t text first and let him make the first move just incase to make sure he actually does want to talk to me and I’m not bothering him... but as the days go on the once a week only contact thing is bothering me. What should I do and how to resolve this peacefully?

If it is bothering you you should tell him after all you're in a relationship and he should know how you feel. Also I don't think you should always wait for him to contact you first. Sure you don't want to annoy him but you can always send him a message asking wether he has time to talk. If he's busy he'll tell you but if he isn't he will probably be happy that you reached out to him.

I know... I guess because of the fact that I only get a text once a week the only way for him to Linda know if he still “seeks” me is to see if he texts me first. And that gives me that reassurance. Do you think it’s a big deal? Should couples be texting everyday? I just recently asked him to be in a relationship to which he responded “you’ve always been mine”

I don't think that there's any general right amount of texting. You should figure out what is right for you and your boyfriend. Also you have no reason to be insecure he obviously likes you too. If I were you I'd be as open and honest as possible. That's the only way you'll be able to build a strong relationship.
