The guy I like only texts me once a week. Is this bad?

We only text once a week. Thursday afternoons specifically. Our convos can last between 2-3 hours. Last time we spoke, he said he wants to meet up after Easter break (so next week).

My friends say that he isn't texting me enough. I feel like there's only so much to talk about on text, especially since we don't really know each other that well.
