He only texts me once a day?

I'm just curious as to what girls and guys think of my situation.

I met a guy on a dating app, we're both far so meet up is not an option at the moment. Matched with him for a month and we don't really talk much. There are times he would reply more than once, but usually it's just one text a day from him. Doesn't really bother me. I recommended him a show to watch, which to my surprise, he did! Then the week after, he asked if I wanted to join him in watching the tv show. I said yes. So last weekend, we did watch it. It was really late for him while it was the afternoon for me. He said it was okay since he was a night owl. He would respond a lot during that time we were watching. And he doesn't reply with one word. He replies in sentences, if that makes sense. And he invited me to watch with him again on the next weekend, I said sure. Then the next day I had permission and had to catch a flight in the weekend, a family relative's birthday that I wanted to go to badly. So I told him I can't watch with him this weekend. He replied saying he was going to miss me and that I should have fun and etc. He seems really sweet. But I just don't get the sweet + one day a text thing. I'm not really that experienced when it comes to things like this.. So I hope someone can share their perspective. Not really looking for a solution or anything. Just curious. Thanks! :)

I don't think there has been any sudden changes, my friend said he was flirting when he said he was gonna miss me. It was our first time hanging out if that helps. Thank you for your opinion!

I'm not too sure if the thinks of me like that. Haha. Either way, he can think what he wants. I just don't really bring seriousness much in my online life, if that makes sense. =) and so far, I dunno. My gut is saying his actions + words don't match. But yeah, it was always like this.

SMART LADY !!! Internet dating and relationship as a whole is Fantastic in Nature. There is no substance or concrete essence to it. You're smart to keep it as "Fantasy Land" BUT still nice to interact with people but... not like in person !!!

Thank you! I'm just having a good time interacting with people. =) I'm the see where it goes type of person, but in hopes to build something with someone in the future. I'm not getting any younger. :D I just don't see it so far but wanted to see other people's take on this. XD

I can relate to this with parents. Hahaha. I'm pretty much online always due to my nature of work. So it can't be helped. I guess I prefer chats first before transitioning to calls. >_<

Yeah, I guess that's true. We probably aren't there yet. We did say hi for the first time when we watched the tv show together. He was streaming it for the both of us. Meeting up is not an option for us at the moment, too far.

You met on dating app, strike 1. You live far apart, strike 2. You have zero plans to meet, strike 3. You haven't met in person yet, so there really is no relationship, strike 4.

Oh okay, thanks for your input. =) We did say we hope we can meet each other someday, he plans to visit x country once borders finally opens for tourists. X country is nearer to me, so chances of meeting up is higher.
